This is intended to be read, hopefully, by Bert, Jeph, Dan or Quinn, though I realize you guys are uncompromisingly busy.
I am writer, through and through. Whether it is prose, poetry, lyrics or simply streaming consciousness, writing has proved a therapeutic release over the course of my life that I'd be automated without. But the rationale, the movement behind my writing has drastically changed since I discovered The Used. Excising my insides through different mediums, immersing myself in self-loathing while destroying those relationships that combated my self-destructive nature, all of it has been a journey (far from complete) that The Used's lyrics have helped me through. I've felt so relative to the speaker in countless songs. I know it is not in your job description to play therapist, and you certainly can't come to know your fans that well when there are so many . . . but I just felt the need to post an anecdotal expression of the powerfully positive influence The Used's music has had on my life.

Also, I wanted to see if I could get a response from the band directly, knowing full well how unlikely that may be. I want to see if you guys could use some of my lyrics in any way. I'd love to contribute. I also want you guys to do a local show around my area! This is obviously a long shot, but what's a poor grad student to do but try? what is happening with The Used? i really liked the album Artwork, but I am noting a kind of changing of music style, the genre.

where are all the screams, and other skills of Bert? both on the album, as live, it seems that he is forcing his neck.

I see also a use of technological resources in music, and a great concern with the instruments. that's not bad, but it is a little decharacterizes what was The Used in the early EPs, which for me are still the best cds.

I ordered my copy and I can't wait.I've listened the live performance of ''Blood On My Hands'',the both live and acoustic live performance of ''Empty With You'' and the studio track ''Born To Quit'' and the Artwork album is a hell of a good sound.
