First; without the 'freak' "normal" people would be bored out of their shallow lives.
Second; One day, thoughs people who call you weird is going to have your painting hanging on their living room wall or their kid is going to be listening to your bands CD or they are gonna use that new blender you invented to make thanksgiving dinner for their family.
The point is without the free thinkers and the idealists this world would still be in the dark ages.
Everone though Davinci was crazy, now in death he is known as a great philosopher and artist.
Kurt Cobain was thought as a druggie loser with no direction, now in death he is one of the worlds biggest musical icons.
When someone calls me a freak, I smile and thank them for the compliment.
Because being a freak is the best compliment and honner a person could ever wish to have.

IT'S JUST DIFFERENT
I'm a person whom finds the good in life being me and not being like anyone else. When a person is free they are held by no indviduals bars or a social icons discription. So I would won't to be the person whom is afraid to stand up for theirself, afraid to do something extreme, or the person whom finds theirself questioning who they are. I really don't mind being called a freak :) Cuz no matter how much you feel alone and weird or like a freak, there's always someone out there that's feeling the same thing. So your never really alone!
Oh and Blindsided, why is calling someone a fag a bad thing? Just wondering. Cuz I know alot of gay people and if you really think that's an insult anymore then you really need to get out more :) And be carefully what you say hun, those "fags" are alot tougher then you think ;) And it's nice that you've been on here for years and all but that really never gives anyone the right to be mean. Though...that's probably why you have no friends on here and everyone ignores you. I wouldn't post a pic of myself either if I was you. To many people would probably try to hurt you. To be honest, I don't think of myself as a freak because my friends are a lot like me. I'm weird, yeah, but not a freak. Or am I? No one has ever called me a freak to my face. No, wait, my dad has. It was when I bought an AP issue with The Used on the cover, too. It didn't hurt my feelings because my dad is an old-school, conservative Republican. So to him I am a freak. My brother calls me an emo bitch. Now that, I guess I am.
