So. The subject matter of the new site by the Used is really near and dear to me. Artwork. I am an artist, but I mostly deal with cartoons. My favorite artists are Sam Brown and Alex Pardee. To see Sam's stuff, go to explodingdog.com. For Alex's, go to eyesuckink.com. Duh.

Subject Ideas
First off, Alex Pardee all the way. I always get inspired to draw new stuff when I look at what Alex did with "Letters from Digested Children" check that out, but if your a fan you probably already know.
Looking for something so that people walk away changed? Touch on serious issues. Suicide, drug abuse, depression. I know it sounds like a dumb school film on stuff like harrasment but if affects tons of people. It also makes people think twice about such things. Also use blurry colors, don't keep everything in the lines, if you have a girl wearing a blue dress, make the blue spill out of the dress maybe even off the page. I don't know, but this kinda stuff works for me. Also watching Tim Burton or creepy movies inspires me too, but thats just cause thats the kinda stuff I'm into and that I draw and write about. Other than that, in the words of Fleetwood Mac, "You gotta go your own way"

Ooo>>> wonder; can you do you something for Breast Cancer? It's Breast Cancer awareness month, and we're going to start selling this week at my school, ribbons and lollipops, you know... Help the casuee... I'm so pushy about breast cancer and supporting the "let's find a cause" but I'm soooo over the cliche of it... any good twisted art I can use to help selling?
