i don't mind michael jackson.
i do, however HATE his music.
big difference, see?
honestly, i can truthfully say he wasn't of my generation,
he wasn't my first choice for ipod playlists.
i don't debate he had talent; it just wasn't the type of talent i liked.
he was, i hear, a very nice person.
i know his goddaughter, and although she got no end of shit about it,
she never bad mouthed him, and she thought he was nice.
basically put, don't dis a dead man.
it VERY disrespectful.
you can express views and that shit,
but realised just cause you don't LIKE his music doesn't mean he doesn't have talent.
i don't like the beatles.
i still acknowledge they had talent and skill,
it just wasn't what i wanted to spend my time listening to.
do people who don't like ballet watch it?
no.
but you can't deny you need talent to do ballet.
the same applies to music.
i end my stance.

You can like someone's music
You can like someone's music and think that they have amazing talent and really dislike them as a person.
Yes he was a wonderful musician.
Personally, I think that everyone is much more fond of him now that he has died. When the interviews of him were on tv where he was saying "I like to sleep in bed with children." EVERYONE was saying he was a pervert and he was disgusting and guilty. When he went to court and was found not guilty everyone said it was because he paid the accusers off and really believed that he had done it. Don't forget that he was going broke and his things at auction were worth almost nothing (no one wants to own something from an accused child molester.)
Soon as he died, that was all forgotten and he was loved again. All of his things are going for a ridiculously large amount of money at auction, his "movie" is sold out almost as soon as tickets go on sale. People were obsessed with him again. It's like no one remembers that as little as a year ago, the media crucified him.
People have short attention spans. I am not saying that I believe he was guilty or not guilty. I am just saying that people's opinions can change in a second.
I will say, I am so sick of all the media attention his death was given. Yeah he made great music, but he was a really weird person. He dangled his infant son off a balcony that was multiple stories up, he made his children wear masks when they went out. He never wanted to grow up, he behaved like a child, he took drugs that he knew could kill him.
He is not a saint. He had a lot of flaws, and my concern now goes mostly to his children, and to a lesser extent, his family. I think that his family is trying to do whatever they can t0 profit off of his death, because he was the breadwinner in that family. But that is for a totally different conversation.

jigsaw puzzles all messed up might seem wrong
he did have very many flaws.
but can we really completely blame him for them?
name one person who doesn't.
name one celebrity, in fact, who both has pages of press release and a clean sheet.
i don't have a true opinion on him.
i don't believe i have the right to; since i've never met him.
as i said before, i do know people who knew him and said he was a nice guy,
but i can't judge that myself.
i almost think we're dancing to the media's whims
by holding such strong beliefs about a person we never met.
look at people who were held for years on death row,
such as peter limone for 33 years,
completely innocent, just because people believed wrongly.
you can never completely know a person unless they trust you.
and unless i'm very mistaken mr. jackson didn't even know you.
i was never one of the people who declared hate for michael jackson.
yes, i thought his dancing skills were "weird",
and his dancing was "crap",
but i've never been into the way the media bad mouths anyone they can.
maybe what they said about him was true, maybe it wasn't.
can we not lay that to rest now he's dead and appreciate the good?
my grandfather died a few years ago,
and i try to remember how he was a charismatic,
clever, and charming person,
now that he was an alcoholic who cheated on my grandma many times,
although all are true.
and a few things i have to say;
i can understand that peter pan complex of his,
especially with his position in society.
no one wants to take on the responsibility of the adult world:
who wants to take on the responsibility as one of the most famous adults in the world?
how would it be to know that every word you said,
every step you took, was documented?
would it not be easier to hide behind the facade of childhood?
where things are carefree?
when you can go as your whims wish to?
i don't know.
i'm not a psychologist, i can't detect the supposed truth in anything.
i can merely say what i think needs to be said,
and wait for the objections to come.
at that?
i think lay rest the bad, and remember the good memories.
remember him as a small kid in the Jackson 5,
remember him as a musical prodigy.
remember him as you wish, but don't magnify the bad.
acknowledge it, but don't dwell on it.
and remember, most of all, that for the majority,
none of us really knew him.
i doubt he opened his heart to reporters,
or spilt his soul during interviews.
don't judge completely till you can be sure.

Screw you!!! Michael Jackson made AMAZIINNGGGG!!!!!!! music. and he was the sweetest most kind hearted man EVER!!!! He never raped anyone... get your facts straight!! The kid has cancer and was from an extremely poor family. He later admitted he was lying. So did all the other kids. They just all came out after the first one when they found out that he got so much money and he didn't even have to go to court.
I dare you to just watch one of his interviews, You'll see I'm right. He didn't hurt anyone!!
