Top 20 Used Songs Ever!!!!

I got really, really bored so I decided to list my top 20 Used songs in order.

20. Hospital
Full of background effects and a pace that only The Ripper can match, Hospital is an absolute belter of a song and one of few to come from Lies For The Liars.

19. Sold My Soul
The opening screeching guitar is musical mastery, as is the chords during the chorus. Let down a bit by the bridge and verses, but a great song overall.

18. All That I've Got
Taking a brighter and more mainstream tone than the previous two songs and pretty much all other Used songs, ATIG proves that The Used could change to accomodate a more poppy sound without losing their signature style.

17. I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)
Although the lyrics are a bit soppy, the guitar riff that begins the song shows off the best of The Used; a band that can juggle catchy choruses with memorable instrumental back-up.

16. The Back Of Your Mouth
Completely differentto any other Used song, TBOYM uses a clever mix of trumpets and Bert's voice to create a hectic mix of every part of In Love and Death.

15. Maybe Memories
The first song The Used ever wrote, and one of their best. It combines the heavier side of The Used with their massive choruses and memorable tunes.

14. Pretty Handsome Awkward
Here we find a song based completely on one guitar riff. The fucking best riff ever. It is lacking in other areas, with a slightly dull chorus, but the riff and the bridge (similar to Slit Your Own Throat) easily makes up for this.

13. On My Own
The quietest song on the list, OMO slows down the pace entirely, scraps any ideas of a chorus and is just Bert and a guitar. An emotional tune that I find hard to resist singing along to.

12. I'm A Fake
Starting with a speech that defines the word "emo", IAF is another one of The Used's heavier songs, and is similar to Take It Away. The backing vocals during the chorus really makes this song for me.

11. Listening
Yet another heavier song, Listening is a short but sweet song that once again contains sn awesome riff during the chorus.

10. Blood On My Hands
Continuing the trend of the heavier songs, BOMH was a gateway to the new album Artwork. The tone was darker, the guitar was still as awesome as ever, and the bridge was just plain awesome. This would have been in the top 5 a couple of months ago, but it's beginning to lose some of its catchiness since its release.

9. Empty With You
Finally, a Used song that isn't heavy. I was shocked when I first heard this. Other than BOMH, this was my first song I heard from Artwork......... and I didn't like. I thought The Used had turned poppy.......... but then I heard the chorus. No, The Used hadn't turned poppy. They had only improved.

8. Kissing You Goodbye
This song holds the record for being the most epic Used song ever, full stop. At the start of the second chorus, this song blossoms into an epic beast, never letting up until the very end. Just an amazing song.

7. Something Safe [Demo]
Some Used fans may be shocked by this, and some may have never even heard this song. It shouldn't be good; you can't hear what he's singing and it just feels scrappy, like a demo would. But I just kept on coming back to this song........ I just always needed to listen to it one more time. The lyrics seem to take a back seat to the instruments, and I think this concept, never experimented on before by The Used, is what made me love this song so much.

6. The Ripper
Just a balls-out, insanely paced little bastard of a song. Enough said.

5. Take It Away
I think this is the most under-rated Used song. Great chorus, great verses and a great bridge. Pretty damn near perfect, really.

4. Slit Your Own Throat
Why this was a B-Side, I'll never know. What I do know, however, is that this song is awesome. It could just be the lyrics, which make absolutely no sense at all. But the pace, and the bridge that just repeats the verses in a whispery tone just makes this an essential song.

3. A Box Full Of Sharp Objects
The heaviest Used song ever (except for Choke Me), ABFOSO still maintains those great Used choruses while also putting in the biting guitars and screaming that other Used songs are lacking. Ingenious.

2. Blue and Yellow
This song sends a chill down my spine every time I hear it. I can just relate to this song so much. And then the choruses just keep on repeating at the end and then fade out...... the best love song ever.

1. The Taste Of Ink
Where do I even start? This song is just ultimate. It's like the God of all Used songs..... Verse, chorus, and the bridge are all perfect. This song is the definition of flawless.
