I saw all the versions of the song that were live and my first impressions of the verse was that it sounded kinda weird and different. Anyways, I was really crossing my fingers that the single would sound better (because all the live versions arent easy to hear), but the song really grows on you. I love it. I really like what Quinn Allman said:
It is "confined chaos, brutally thrashing one moment and proffering a pop-driven, sing-along chorus the next." truth.
THAT is exactly what made The Used popular in the first place; that confined chaos and then in so many songs there is this amazing bridge in the middle, or even the chorus itself .. A song like "A box full of sharp objects" could have gone SO WRONG with almost any other band, The Used just has a little bit of something else. Don't lose that edge please.
(and btw, if you cant hear the song, try using google chrome because IE and Mozilla get messed up sometimes, it plays automatically when you type in theused.net) (if that doesnt work then go slit your wrists)
Edit: I just had to take a long drive and I listened to it. alot. and I decided this song is definitely a return to what made The Used good. Its those lyrics that people identify with so much although I didn't get the song at first. Now I like it enough to pump myself before a race:

I've heard plenty of live versions and loved it already...but once hearing the actual version of the song..I got chills...I can't explain it...it's just absolutely amazing guys!
I can defintely see what Jeph is saying when he says this album will be a little closer to the first album and more raw than ILAD and LFTL.
